Standards
The EGT consolidated a common set of training standards (requirements) for all training delivered in Core and Specialisation courses at the EU level in civilian crisis management, compatible with other international training providers and responsive to the recruitment needs of the civilian crisis management field, that will contribute towards ensuring the monitoring of long term quality and integrity of the training provided by multiple institutions. The Standards Working Group (WG) was led by International Alert.
Assessment
The efforts of the Assessment Working Group (WG) were directed at the consolidation of the work previously done on assessment under the EGT, including the ‘Evaluation of Participant Assessment Mechanism’ study conducted during Phase IV of the EGT. The WG was exploring ways of implementing assessment tools for the variety of courses offered by EGT members. The Assessment WG was led by International Alert.
Certification
The European Group on Training (EGT) provides certification to training courses in the field of civilian crisis management. A C3MC-label is awarded to courses that meet established standards and criteria for training civilian personnel to be deployed in crisis management missions.
