Certified EU Civilian Crisis Management Course – C3MC
The European Group on Training (EGT) provides certification to training courses in the field of civilian crisis management. A C3MC-label is awarded to courses that meet established standards and criteria for training civilian personnel to be deployed in crisis management missions.
The EGT certification system has been designed to further enhance coherent and high-level training activities in the field of civilian crisis management. It offers an objective evaluation standard and allows training institutions to improve the quality of their courses, which are recognised by organisations and professionals at the European level.
The application for the C3MC-label is open to course organisers within and outside Europe, provided that they have legal personality pursuant to the legislation of their country of origin and previous experience in organising training courses in the field of civilian crisis management.
Evaluation will be conducted by the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Pisa, Italy) on behalf of the EGT, on the basis of the application submitted by course organisers and on-site visits before and/or during the delivery of the courses.
The release of the certification is subject to the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding between the applicants and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, covering the terms of use of the C3MC-label.
Once certification is awarded, it is valid for 1 year. Periodical review of the certified training courses can be conducted. Once the certification period has expired, course organisers are allowed to re-apply for certification though a simplified application procedure.
The typology of courses for which the EGT Certification can be requested are those for which the EGT has already adopted a Course Concept paper and which have already been successfully implemented. The Course Concept papers are posted on the course page, linked from EGT Courses.
